2021 will undoubtedly decree the expansion of 5G connectivity, thanks to a series of low-cost smartphones that are slowly appearing on the international scene. Xiaomi, for example, has placed the recent Redmi Note 9T 5G on the global market and OPPO has not been watching, formalizing a new member of the glorious A series, or the OPPO A55 which promises to compete in this sector in which support is offered to the 5G at a price that does not exceed 250 euros. At the moment this smartphone has been announced only for the Chinese market, although it is reasonable to think that sooner or later it will arrive in our territory, so we will get to know all its features and the official price.
Contrary to what one might think from the nomenclature, the OPPO A55 is not superior to the OPPO A53 but we are still in the presence of a super interesting device, starting from the huge 5000 mAh battery as well as 6 GB of RAM and the performing MediaTek 700 chipset that offers 5G connectivity.

Points in favor of this OPPO A55 are undoubtedly the support for 5G and the new OS based on Android 11, which the various OEMs are barely pulling out for their devices, demonstrating how OPPO is always in step with the times and with the novelty. The MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor can be defined as a valid alternative to the Snapdragon 690 SoC, incorporating an 8-core structure clocked up to 2,2 GHz, therefore quite powerful to perform any task, from the most classic to gaming.
Also accompanied by the processor 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory expandable by means of micro SD. On the other hand, the screen is out of tune, a 6,5-inch panel with HD + resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate, which in a sense "cripples" the multimedia side of the device.
In reality, even the photographic sector of OPPO A55 is not surprising, considering a 13 MP primary sensor and 2 additional 2 MP lenses for macro and bokeh effect, rather useless in relation to an ultrawide camera. The selfie camera instead relies on an 8 MP lens set in a teardrop notch that is contained, in spite of the lower chin instead rather pronounced compared to the rest of the frames that surround the display.
The rest of the specifications consists of Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, dual band WiFi and Type-C input with 10W fast charging as well as a fingerprint sensor inserted on the side power button and wired headphone jack input.
But let's get to the price, that is 1599 yuan which corresponds to about 200 euros at the exchange rate, which only if confirmed also for our market could make you want to buy this OPPO A55 5G, which should in fact also debut in other countries, but the launch date is still unknown.
