Oppo is still betting on the smart home and thinking of an AOD for ColorOS

Last year Oppo had feared the intention of entering the world of the smart home thanks to patent of his indoor and outdoor camera. Today the Chinese company confirms that its intent is to enter the homes of users and does so through a second patent. This depicts the second smart camera, but this time more compact. In addition to this it also shows us how he wants to introduce a new AOD (Always on Display) on your devices. Let's go see everything.

Two novelties for Oppo: a new security camera to be installed in the smart home and a new interface for AOD

As usual the screenshots showing that we are talking about two products Oppo. The patents are taken from China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and were accepted today. The presentation date for both products dates back to a year ago.

Camera for the smart home

The first product we see is a mini security camera very similar to the first we saw days ago. It is literally a tilting eye with perforated back. At the front we have the camera that is used for shooting while at the back a microphone which is used, presumably, to record audio. There is no hole for the power supply but without a doubt it is a product that works with wire. Like the other camera, this one is too wall mountable.

ADO clock interface for ColorOS

The second thing we are going to see is not so much a physical product as a digital one. It is a'new interface for ColorOS. As evident from the screenshots, the smartphone clock is shown when the screen is off and therefore theAlways on Display. The watch face looks like a series of concentric circles within which the planets (two) act as hands. Fortunately, it is only a patent: no doubt it is not a functional way to see the time.
