Oppo will collaborate with Kodak to improve its top of the range

Collaborations between smartphone manufacturers and historic camera companies are already a common practice on Android. We can't remember Nokia and Zeiss, or I live with the same Zeiss, but also the OnePlus 9 cameras that come from Hasselblad's hand. Better goals and some software additions, always on high-end mobile phones. Some time ago we were talking about the possibility of realme to partner with Kodak: well, it looks like it will be Oppo to do it in its place.

Oppo will likely partner with Kodak (and not realme as we thought) to upgrade the camera on the upcoming Oppo Find X4 series.

Oppo wants to be the next big company to partner with a photography historian. In this case, the leaks indicate that the company is preparing to partner with Kodak, a company that has already launched its smartphone in 2015. Oppo currently has devices such as the Find X3 Pro, a terminal with a top-of-the-range camera, but which is not the best smartphone in photography of 2021. As we read in GSMarena, leaks from China anticipate one collaboration between Oppo and Kodak for the next Find X4.

Specifically, it is said that the Sony IMX766 will be used again, a sensor shared with beasts like the Honor Magic 3 Pro. That is, we will see 50 megapixels for the main sensor, along with an ultra wide angle and a telephoto lens.

There are no details on the alleged Oppo Find X4 Pro that will mount this sensor, but undoubtedly the bet in photography will be high. As always, the marketing plays an important role in these types of decisions. Partnering with a photography company doesn't always translate into better photographs, so we'll have to wait for the new flagship by Oppo to verify it.
