News arrives in the Oppo house. A few days ago we talked about the new one magnetic charging OPPO MagVOOC, the alternative to MagDart and MagSafe. Today, however, we are talking about a new smartphone from the Chinese house: it is Oppo K9 Pro, device that will be based on the high-end system designed by MediaTek, that is Dimensity 1200. But let's go in order, analyzing the technical specifications of the device in question.
OPPO K9 Pro: technical sheet
Initially it was thought that the code name OPPO PEYM00 could have Snapdragon 888+ (and indeed, that it could be the first ever to have it). In reality it will not be so: what turned out to be OPPO K9 Pro will have MediaTek's high-end solution, that is Dimensity 1200. It is the same processor mounted by models such as OnePlus Nord 2, Redmi K40 Gaming and OPPO Reno 6 Pro.
Therefore, these rumors would confirm the transition from the Qualcomm platform (since K9 was equipped with a Snapdragon 768G) to the MediaTek one. The Dimensity 1200 is manufactured at 6 nm and integrates an octa-core CPU (1 x 30 GHz A78 + 3 x 2,6 GHz A78 + 4 x 2,0 GHz A55) and a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. Paired with the chipset, we have 8/12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 / 256 GB internal storage.
OPPO K9 Pro (this is the name that this device should have, according to the name of the photographic module, or “09-K-Pro”) appeared in the TENAA database. As can be seen from the images, the design is different from the K9. You can see a metal body and a glass section that collects the mentioned wording. What is certain is that the device in question will be a new model of the K series.
Returning to the technical specifications, OPPO K9 Pro will have a 6,43 ″ FHD + AMOLED punch-hole display 2400 x 1080 pixels in 20: 9, with a density of 409 PPI, fingerprint sensor under the display and refresh rate to 120 Hz. As for the battery, there is a da 4500 mAh with Super VOOC 50W charging, the operating system will be based on Android 11.
Photographic sector chapter: at the rear OPPO K9 Pro can count on one 64 + 8 + 2MP triple camera f/1.8-2.3-2.4 with wide angle and macro. On the front, however, there is a selfie camera from 16 MP f/2.5. Also on the audio side, it gives satisfaction, since there are some stereo speaker. The connectivity department also provides support for dual SIM 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX HD, NFC, Dual-frequency GPS and USB Type-C.
OPPO K9 Pro: price and release date
At the moment we only know what the colors of OPPO K9 Pro will be, namely Black, Silver and Blue. As for the release date and price, we have to wait a little longer. In fact at the time of writing there is no information about it. Therefore, updates follow.
