OPPO presented its new economical tablet in China, theOPPO Pad Air 2. As the name suggests, this is the successor to the OPPO Pad Air, launched in May 2022 as the company's first low-end tablet. The new model offers a larger, high-resolution display, a more powerful processor and a larger battery.

The design of the OPPO Pad Air 2 is inspired by that of the OPPO Pad 2, the company's premium tablet. It has rounded corners and the rear camera is in the center. The rear panel has a two-tone finish, available in Space Gray and Streamer Silver colors.
The tablet has one 11.35-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2408 x 1720 pixels (2.4K) and a density of 260 PPI. This screen offers a refresh rate up to 90Hz, a touch sampling rate of 180Hz and a peak brightness of 400 nits. These characteristics guarantee good fluidity and good visibility in different light conditions.
The tablet is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, an octa-core chip with a maximum frequency of 2.4GHz and a Mali-G76 MC4 GPU. It is a processor designed for gaming, which offers high performance and good energy savings. The processor is supported by LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 internal memory, available in different configurations.
The tablet runs with ColorOS 13.2 based on Android 13. ColorOS is OPPO's customization, which offers various features and optimizations to improve the user experience. Among these, there are dark mode, game mode, split-screen mode and child mode.
The tablet has a 8MP rear camera and front camera from 8MP. It doesn't have a MicroSD card slot or a 3.5mm headphone jack, but it does have four stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, which guarantee excellent audio quality.
The tablet features dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, and USB Type-C. It doesn't support cellular, so it can't be used to make calls or browse on 4G or 5G. There Battery has a capacity of 8.000mAh and supports 33W SuperVOOC fast charging, which allows you to recharge the tablet in poco time.
The OPPO Pad Air 2 was presented in China alongside the smartphones OPPO Reno 11 and OPPO Reno 11 Pro. The tablet is will be sold at starting price of 1299 Yuan (about 170 euros) for the version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory.
