We are already starting to talk aboutheir of Oppo Reno 4. In fact, a few months have passed since its launch in China and the successor should arrive very shortly. Oppo Reno 5 will be a mid-range or a top of the range? We tried to give an answer a few days ago taking a look at the specifications revealed by Digital Chat Station and apparently it will be a mid range with all the trappings. But the Pro version? Apparently this will be a bomb: the performances have in fact been revealed poco ago from the benchmark portal Geekbench. Let's go and see them together.
Here are the benchmark scores of PDSM00, that is Oppo Reno 5 Pro: beyond a top of the range. An ultra-powerful MediaTek processor is expected
According to what was initially revealed by Digital Chat Station a few hours ago, and confirmed by various international sites later, the device we are going to see will be Oppo reno 5 pro. A more powerful variant of the standard one which, according to rumors, should be released within the year. Clearly we are talking about China and not Europe. For the official release in our continent we will have to wait until next year, as long as the brand allows us to see it in a Western guise. But in any case, let's go and see the leaked data.
This morning the device appeared on the Geekbench benchmark platform with very interesting features. Here they are listed:
- Android 11 out of the box (now a normality for new generation devices);
- processor: MediaTek Dimensions 1000+;
- RAM: 8 GB
- single-core result: 2392;
- multi-core result: 5836;
In itself the score is not that great but we consider that this is it Geekbench 4.1 and not 5. If it had been "certified" on version 5 then the score would be much higher. But why do we say this is the Reno 5 Pro? The reasons are many: no Oppo devices have received yet Android 11 and he could be the first candidate; the previous model is equipped with MediaTek Dimensions 800U and the fact that this has a Dimensity 1000+ suggests that it is the successor itself; the code name of the standard model is very similar to this, PDSM00 versus PEGM00.
