Oppo did see from poco its Smart Tag with UWB technology. It is a device, similar to the AirTags from Apple, which allow you to control (not command) other devices thanks to technology Ultra Wideband. Specifically, the main goal is not to lose your devices by associating them with them. We have news from China of a new exclusive product, a smart cover with features very similar to Smart Tags. Let's go and see them in detail.
The new and exclusive Oppo cover allows you to control other devices thanks to UWB technology and is applicable to all devices
Oppo has unveiled the world's first smartphone case with UWB technology. The protocol can be used to wirelessly control smart home devices, including lighting devices, as well as various Internet of Things gadgets. Thanks to ultra-broadband technology, users will be able to adjust the operation of other devices, even if your smartphone does not support this function. The company offers ready-made kits consisting of a case and special "beacon”Round with UWB chip and a magnetic holder.
The accessory has three modes of operation: Switch (enable or disable the device), Control Card (select from a list of various functions) and Startup (ready-made profile). Inside there is a special antenna that goes directly to the desired device. It is also possible to use a sort of pre-configured "script" that allows it to be used via a double tap on the cover. As mentioned, Oppo also offers the famous smart tags that we have seen previously.
UWB tags can also be used to organize multiple different actions. For example, leaving the apartment, the owner of the Oppo device can activate instant shutdown of all previously selected devices. The peculiarity is that it offers precise positioning with low noise levels. The transmission range is up to 15 meters.
