Oppo Smart Tags show up live, but they are different from before

It was early January when we first spoke of Oppo Smart Tag. This is a very special device that will be very fashionable. It was the beginning of the trend Samsung but later, just a few days ago, Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), launched its own proprietary tags. This device serves not to lose the devices connected to it. Very simple. thanks to GPS technology (now we will see this point better) will act as a detector. We saw them square the first time, but evidently Oppo has changed his mind.

Oppo Smart Tags will be equipped with UWB technology: Oppo has decided to change the shape of the Smart Tags we have seen previously

The photographs of the new ones Oppo Smart Tag arrive from Digital Chat Station, a well-known Chinese informant known for his always super exhaustive and truthful leaks. As anticipated, the company's smart tags appeared on a patent a few months ago with square form. Yesterday, however, the Chinese leaker showed them to us live, revealing that the shape has changed in round. We see them below.

As we can see, they are round, like a coaster. We also note the presence of two features that we did not expect: the Ultra Wide Band (UWB) and charging via USB type C. As for the first, we know that it is a new generation technology. It is a protocol of short-range wireless communication which works via radio waves. But unlike its counterparts, it works a very high frequencies (a broad spectrum of GHz frequencies) and can be used for acquire extremely accurate spatial and directional data.

Secondly, the recharge. We expected wireless charging but apparently the Oppo Smart Tags will be equipped with a refill on type C. At the moment we do not know how much the voltage will be but we are sure that, given the negligible energy consumption of the device, it will not be ultra fast.
