Other than China, Xiaomi focuses on "Made in India"

A few days ago we had shown you on our page Facebook un tweet posted by Vice President Xiaomi India, Manu Kumar Jain, who dazzled the interest of the media, as it seemed that a new set of products could be presented shortly.

In reality it is not really that way. In fact, the company has launched a new series, but it does not refer to either smartphones or anything else, but rather ad a whole production line "Made in India". The first products are the 2i Mi Power Bank with 10000 mAh and 20000 mAh cuts.

To make "Made in India" products, the Chinese company has tightened one collaboration with HiPad Technology with a production plant distributed on 230000 square feet at Noida, in Uttar Pradesh. In particular Xiaomi with this agreement will become one of the world's largest power bank producers, relying on a production capacity of the plant of 7 counters per minute. Hipad Technology is already a partner of Xiaomi in China for the production of power banks for the technology market.

Apart from the name that differs for a single "i", the specifications of the Mi Power Bank 2i are virtually identical to what we already know, but to change are the size. Both the 10000 mAh and 20000 mAh models come with two-way quick charging.

Commenting on the new production plant Manu Jain, Vice President and Managing Director Xiaomi India said:

Xiaomi India has seen exponential growth and today enjoys market leadership in the smartphone segment. I believe a key reason for our success has been our commitment. We want our Xiaomi fans from India to enjoy the best technology, quality at an affordable price, and local manufacturing will help us achieve our vision. We are extending our commitment to create a truly localized company and hope to bring the ecosystem of the world's best power banks to India with our partners Hipad Technology.

Furthermore Xiaomi presented a new one trade-in program for the Indian market designed to make its phones even more accessible to its users. Buyers will be able to benefit from the program "We ExChange" at one of the eleven company's Mi Home shops in India. In the past, these barter projects have proven to be highly appreciated by the Indian population, as manufacturers such as Samsung and OnePlus but also resellers such as FlipKart already run similar programs with excellent results.

Xiaomi then decided to undertake its exchange program by offering discount coupon to customers who recycle their out of production phones. The Chinese company has tightened one partnership with Cashify to ensure that the exchange process works smoothly. The discount offered depends on the condition of the old device and you can take advantage of the program "Mi ExChange" exchanging one single device for single purchase, which will have to be paid with the full amount to be redeemed subsequently by Xiaomi and Cashify.

The "Mi ExChange" program represents another small step in Xiaomi's expansion plans in India, which earlier this month ended Samsung's dominance in the region.
