After a long wait, Pixel Camera 9.2 (Google Camera 9.2) is ready for download. What's new for new and old devices

Some time ago we saw how the Google Camera (or GCam) changed its name lately. Google's desire to "flatten" everything towards the Pixel series meant that this took the name of pixel Camera. Pixel Camera version 9.2 is out poco and with her there are really interesting news, like the coveted one Ultra HDR. Here What's new and how to download.

All the news about Google's Pixel Camera 9.2

Google recently released the Pixel Camera update to version 9.2, introducing major improvements and features. This update is significant for both Pixel 8 owners and those of older models, ensuring a uniform and advanced photography experience across all devices.

The most striking innovation is the I redraw interface user. Now, elements like the Brightness, the shadow and Balance of the White, previously positioned on the sides of the viewfinder, have been moved to a compact carousel accessible from the bottom right corner. Furthermore, the “Reset all“, particularly useful for quickly undoing all changes made.

Another change concerns the preferences panel, previously positioned at the top, which is now in a tab accessible by swiping up on the viewfinder. This shows Google's focus on making camera controls more effective accessible, placing them at the bottom of the screen.

In older devices, two new features have been introduced: theUltra HDR and the "Rich color in photos“. Ultra HDR improves the brightness of the brightest parts of images and offers more vibrant colors than the normal HDR+ process. Furthermore, you can now use the Display P3 color format instead of the classic SRGB, to obtain richer and more vibrant colors.

Finally, with today's update, the Palm timer, previously only available with the 3 or 10 second timer, can now be set to “Always on".

Downloads and availability

The Pixel Camera 9.2 is available for download via Google Play on this link or via sideload on this link. It goes without saying that compatibility is ensured only and for Google Pixel devices only, at least for now. In the future this will also be extended to other smartphones from other brands.
