A couple of days ago we told you about the arrival of the POCO F4 5G in the coming days. Well, today the brand confirmed on Twitter one of the most important specifications of the device - the processor.
POCO F4 5G officially confirmed: processor revealed
As we can see in the tweet above, POCO claims that the next F4 5G will be powered by the "most optimized processor of the 800 series", while the image clearly shows the words "Snapdragon 870 5G" present above the chipset.
This means unless the team makes mistakes POCO in the choice of the image, the POCO F4 5G will be equipped with the same processor that we found on board the POCO F3 launched last year. So a choice to say the least poco disappointing.
In any case, this confirmation suggests to us that, as previously leaked, the POCO F4 5G could be a rebrand of the Redmi K40S presented in China a couple of months ago.
If so, we can already assume that the POCO The F4 5G will come with a 6,67-inch AMOLED FHD + display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and Dolby Vision support. While the Snapdragon 870 chip will be coupled with fast LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 internal memory.
As far as the photographic sector is concerned, the POCO The F4 5G should see an upgrade over the Redmi K40S, which is a 64MP main camera assisted by OIS instead of the 48MP main camera (also with OIS) that we found on the Redmi K40S. Either way, the other cameras should be identical, so an 8MP ultra wide lens camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 20MP front camera.
Finally, the smartphone will be powered by a 4500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. It will come with two stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an infrared emitter. The device will run with MIUI 13 based on Android 12.
