After several weeks of rumors, the POCO M2 Pro has finally been made official by POCO India. Going specifically, the brand has just released the first official teaser that confirms both its existence and its launch date, set for July 7.
POCO M2 Pro: Confirmed launch for next week
POCO However, India has not yet mentioned any of the specifications that we will find on the device, if not the charging speed. According to the teaser, the POCO M2 Pro will in fact be equipped with a fairly fast charging technology, we are talking about a maximum power of 33W, which therefore places the device in the mid-range, if we compare it with other smartphones POCO and Redmi on the market.
As for the other specifications, unfortunately at the moment we only have one fairly dated leak that partially revealed some details. Specifically, that leak suggested that the POCO M2 Pro was nothing more than a rebrand of the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max previously released in India but with some differences. What are these differences? Well to date it has not been possible to discover any, if not (perhaps) the design of the rear photographic compartment.
Let's start with the photographic sector of the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max (image above), which in India sees the presence of a black area that is added to the module itself and which incorporates the LED flash. In the image below instead, we put a photo from the Redmi Note 9 Pro in a global version, in which there is no black area around the flash.
Together with this difference in terms of design, one should follow in terms of image sensors, but unfortunately, as mentioned above, there has never been a leak that confirms the specifications.
In any case, even if not confirmed, it would surprise us not to find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G as a processor, a 6.67-inch diagonal display, a 5020mAh battery, NFC, audio jack and much more.
