Presented the second trailer of the Xiaomi Pinecone CPU

Without a doubt Xiaomi is doing its best for promote the Pinecone processor, which we remember to be entirely produced by the company itself. In a video that appeared a few days ago, released by the Chinese producer, Wang Fang was present performing a memory challenge that was impossible for us mere mortals. The video received considerable views and so Xiaomi released a second video trailer regarding the Pinecone processor.

The video presents a challenge to say the least poco crazy, in fact it is about solving the famous Rubik's cube in apnea and underwater. In the video we see a young man diving into a container filled with water e solving the challenge in just 18 seconds. But to make you understand better here is the video:

It also appears to be a third and final video is ready which will be released by today or tomorrow at the latest. What will it be about? What bizarre story will Xiaomi reserve for us to promote its processor? One thing is certain, the Pinecone processor will be a real breath of fresh air for the company which provides two models based on different performances. First, there is a mid-range model called the V670. Secondly, the most anticipated, there is the V970 model, defined by some as Xiaomi's answer to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835.

Il Pinecone V670 is an octa-core processor based on aarchitecture at 28nm. It consists of four Cortex-A53 high frequency cores (2,1 GHz) and four low frequency Cortex-A53 cores (1.3GHz) accompanied by ARM GPU Mali-T860 MP2. The Xiaomi Pinecone V670 will be featured on February 28 and should be the the heart of the new Mi 5C, better known as Mary.

Also the model V970 it turns out to be a octa-core, but the base is so defined: four Cortex-A73 type cores and four Cortex-A53 type cores, accompanied by an ARM Mali-G71MP12 GPU. It should be noted that the architecture of the Pinecone V970 will be a 10nm, but we should wait a little longer for the official release. According to some reports it can be compared to Huawei's Kirin 960 even though the latter actually uses a 16nm TSMC process. and therefore the performance and energy efficiency will be much better than the Kirin 960. For this Huawei is working on the next Kirin 970 which will use a 10nm process. Kirin 970 / Pinecon V970 who will be revealed first?
