A new Xiaomi patent has been published: here is the smartphone with two detachable displays!

After learning of the existence of Xiaomi MIX Fold 2", the first smartphone of the Chinese house with a 360 ° folding display and on which the brand is working to launch it on the market in the coming months, now a new patent has leaked with object one foldable smartphone with two detachable screens. Here are all the details.

Xiaomi's patent was registered with a Chinese institution

Registered with a Chinese institution, the patent in question describes a smartphone with a flexible screen that can be detached from the rest of the device, so as to physically change its size as needed. To put it better, the body of the smartphone consisting of a display and hardware has a side hinge to which a second display can be attached.

Once the latter is connected, it acts as an extension of the former. In addition, the second display is also foldable, so it can also be folded over the main panel via a wallet closure. Basically, the patented smartphone can be used in different configurations, ranging between one and two screens and between open and closed displays.

But that's not all, on the contrary: the best is yet to come! The second display in fact is can also be used when detached from the rest of the smartphone! This is made possible by wireless transmission between the display and the rest of the device. Not only that: the secondary panel also has hardware mounted on its back.

Whether it is a concept to work on in the coming years, when the technologies will be more advanced to be able to really create a device of this type, or is Xiaomi really working on it right away to be able to achieve it in shorter times? We don't have an answer yet. What is certain is that, at present, such a smartphone would probably cost too much for the consumer audience. We will see if in the coming weeks Xiaomi will unbutton itself in some way.
