That said, maybe it's a bit too hard to digest, but in fact it is: realme is saying goodbye to the X series of his smartphones. For the most loyal to powerful and "charismatic" devices this can only be a plus, but the most nostalgic will not easily swallow the pill. Don't worry: the realme X series will be replaced by the realme GT series. The first smartphone has already been released, but when is the next one?
In an exclusive interview with TechRadar, the Indian CEO of realme Madhav Sheth, as well as responsible for the European division, made it clear that the realme X series will no longer be produced. Compared to its other series, the company's X-line it didn't have such a coherent output or concrete identity between the devices, two points that the GT series certainly solves. And it is precisely for this reason that the latter will replace the former. This does not mean, however, that smartphones were bad, quite the contrary.
Confirming that the realme X series has been replaced by the GT, the CEO implicitly suggests that we will see many more smartphones. For the moment we have the first edition GT, so to speak, whose date of the Master Edition is set for August 18th. It will also come really GT 2 however, a smartphone of undoubted power that will rival large-caliber flagships such as Xiaomi Mi 12 and company.
However, a question that many users are asking is: and the ssupport for X series devices? Do not worry, although the brand is not famous for releasing many updates (and above all quickly), there is no danger of its abandonment of official support.
