The era of 5G has arrived now. We will have to resign ourselves willingly or unwillingly to the fact that this new technology will enter our lives. All the biggest (and not) phone brands in the world are adapting. We have seen how Redmi, a subsidiary of Xiaomi, will present its first smartphone with 5G technology and just talking about sub-brand, also that of Oppo has decided to unveil its first device. the Realme CMO Xu Qi Chase, announced today on Weibo the name of first dual 5G smartphone. It is called Realme X50, curious name since this abbreviation is also the name of the Qualcomm-born modem just to support this connection on mobile devices.

This news, which arrived a few minutes later, follows the news we gave you a few days ago about the European trademark registration for 5G. Maybe the brand has in mind to launch this new device also in Europe, very close to its debut in China?
In Realme's CMO post, he himself explains the reason for the name of this first 5G device:
- the X stands for Realme's pioneering series which has so far allowed all users to use the features of smartphones by high end. Think of the comparison that we proposed between Realme X2 Pro and ROG Phone 2.
- the 5 indicates the first device of the brand that supports 5G technology;
- lo 0 instead identifies Realme's ability to open up to new technologies and to always invest, as a new beginning.
But now let's move on to the speculations that we like so much. First, unlike what many say, we think we know which processor will mount the device. As mentioned before, we believe that a Snapdragon will be mounted under the body: to suggest it is the name of the device. In fact, a second reason behind choosing this name is the modem built by Qualcomm and integrated in the processors that support 5G connectivity: it is very likely, as for Redmi, that this SoC will belong to the Snapdragon 7 series.
Another feature communicated by the ninety piece of Realme is support for dual mode 5G, or the one for the SA and NSA networks. This feature is very important as it will allow one switch between networks easier and smoothly. From the image then we also notice one double camera: well, it seems clear to us that it is not the rear one but the one that we will find on the display. It seems that the brand is following in the footsteps of the other brands (in particular the reference to Redmi K30 is clear) and will build the so-called punch hole camera, that is the one set under the display.
