Redmi 10A caught on Geekbench with MediaTek Helio G25

A couple of days ago we found out that the Redmi 10A will debut in Europe and Italy as it has been caught on IMEI database. Today, however, the entry-level smartphone was spotted on the well-known Geekbench benchmarking platform.

The news comes from the site MySmartPrice who would find a Redmi device with model number 220233L2C. From the screenshot we can see that the smartphone gets 787 points in single core mode and 3710 points in multi core mode. It is also confirmed that the smartphone will be powered by a MediaTek chipset, the MT6762G, which as we know corresponds to the MediaTek Helio G25 processor.

So not too happy news for those who had high expectations for the new Redmi 10A. The MediaTek Helio G25 is in fact a low-end chip that is not exactly modern and that we even found on the previous Redmi 9A. We just have to hope for software optimizations that improve its fluidity or other upgrades in the field of photography, reloading and so on.

In any case, the Geekbench benchmark also reveals that together with the Helio G25 processor we will find 4 GB of RAM, of which 3,71 GB are really available. Although of course it is possible that there are other variants with more or less RAM.

As for the other specifications that we do not see on the Geekbench site, we expect to find hardware very similar to that of the Redmi 9A. This means that we will most likely have a large display with HD + resolution and will be equipped with a battery of at least 5000mAh. Finally, from the software point of view, the Redmi 10A seems to run with the Android 11 operating system, but it is still unclear whether it will be accompanied by the MIUI 12 or MIUI 13.

Well, we just have to wait a few more days to find out more as the presentation seems ever closer.
