A few days ago we told you about the possible launch of a new monitor by the Xiaomi sub-brand, Redmi. Well, today that rumor seems to have been confirmed by a further source which then suggested the possible arrival tomorrow, May 26, 2020.
Redmi 1A Display arriving tomorrow, will cost less than 600 Yuan (80 €)
Let's start from the name, which according to the latest rumors should be Redmi 1A Display. Does this name remind you of something? If you are a fan of Xiaomi and the PC world in general then you will remember that our favorite brand already has a monitor with this name, the Xiaomi Mi Display 1A.
So, unless there are surprises, we should be dealing with a re-edition of the Xiaomi monitor, but this time marked Redmi. What does this mean in practice? Well, that most likely the PC peripheral will be even cheaper than the Xiaomi option which already has a fairly low price of its own. The Xiaomi Mi Display 1A is in fact sold in China at 689 Yuan, or 88 euros at the current exchange rate. Given that the Redmi 1A Display should cost less, we can therefore assume a price of 500/600 Yuan (64/77 €).
As for the specifications, these should be similar, if not identical, to those of the Xiaomi device. This means that we will have a 23,8-inch diagonal panel, which adopts IPS technology for more accurate colors and better viewing angles (to be precise 178 degrees) at a resolution of 1920 × 1080, therefore Full HD. The screen will have a refresh rate of 60Hz, without support for Nvidia's AMD Free-Sync or G-SYNC. However, there will be the "Low Blue Light", DC Dimming and other features to less strain the eyes.
Finally, the monitor will have a brightness of 250 nits, a contrast ratio of 1000: 1 and a response time of 6ms gray-to-gray, therefore average in terms of speed. While for the ports we will find only two HDMI type outputs.
