With large, very large advance, the Indian leaker Sudhanshu Ambhore he had revealed to us the design of this device. It was March 29 when a bomb went off between him and Xiaomishka who accused him of giving incorrect information. Beyond these news events that poco interest us, let's say that perhaps the Indian was right. Indeed, yesterday, what is called in jargon appeared on the official website Redmi 9 moniker which would confirm, if compared with the 3C certification, his imminent arrival. Clearly the certification we are talking about gives us some information. Let's see them together.
We already know something about Redmi 9: design, recharge, code number and SoC. The most important data are missing, however, such as price and release date
Although a step forward compared to its predecessor Redmi 8 was expected, as regards the battery and more properly charging, the Redmi 9 takes a step back. We know that while the former supports one charging power at 18W, the second (based on what is written on the 3C certification) it only reaches 10W.
Furthermore, as we said before, the code number of the device would be the same as what appears on the official website. Only the last letter changes (from G to C). This could partially justify the discrepancy in charging technology: perhaps what we see in the 3C portal is one "minor" variant maybe Redmi 9A notoriously less powerful. The 9 standard could therefore support an 18W recharge at the end.
As for the other data, we know that the rear photographic module will be formed by 4 cameras. The leak of the Indian therefore becomes increasingly true. These 4 cameras have:
- main sensor from 13 megapixel;
- wide angle sensor from 8 megapixel;
- macro sensor from 5 megapixel;
- depth sensor from 2 megapixel.
Now let's move on to the most important thing, namely the hardware sector. Although there are no safeties it has been speculated that this device will integrate a SoC MediaTek and not Qualcomm as Xiaomi usually does. In recent times MediaTek is pushing hard and despite the criticisms made by users about the difficulty of modding, is being asserted. The processor that Redmi 9 should integrate is the MediaTek Helio G70. For the rest it should have a display by 6.6 ", a basic configuration from 3/4 GB of RAM memory coupled to 32/64 GB of internal storage. As you can see it will not be a device devoted to power but another entry level that raises the bar but not much.
