The Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ are Xiaomi's next entry-level smartphones, which should be equipped with the MediaTek Helio G36 SoC. Compared to Redmi A2, the Redmi A2+ is expected to add fingerprint recognition support.

Well, today the Redmi A2 (model number 23028RN4DG) appeared on Thailand's NBTC certification body website. At the same time, the Redmi A2 + model (model number 23028RNCAG) also appeared on the NBTC certification site.
The Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ have also passed the German TUV certification. In addition, Redmi A2 and A2+ have also passed the EEC certification of the Economic Commission for Europe. Earlier, Redmi A2 series passed Indian BIS certification.
According to previous leaks, the Redmi A2 will be equipped with a 6,52-inch HD+ resolution IPS LCD screen, 2GB of built-in memory, and 32GB of storage space, which is expected to be expandable with microSD card. For photos, we will find an 8 megapixel main rear camera and an auxiliary AI camera. The smartphone will come with the Android 13 operating system (Go version), have a battery of 5000mAh capacity and support 10W charging via the microUSB port.
As previously mentioned, the smartphone should be equipped with the MediaTek Helio G36 chip. This processor adopts 12nm FinFET manufacturing process, can display at 90Hz and MediaTek HyperEngine 2.0 Lite game engine, also supports dynamic allocation of CPU and GPU and memory resources, supports global dual 4G connections. The Arm Cortex-A53 octa-core processor in the MediaTek Helio G36 offers a peak frequency of 2,2GHz, so not bad for an entry-level smartphone. The IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU offers a combination of performance and energy efficiency, supporting up to 8GB LPDDR4x memory.
Redmi A2 should be sold in Europe at a price of 97 euros and there will be three colors of black, blue and green.
