This morning Xiaomi announced the latest report regarding the sales of the Redmi K40, launched exactly 23 days ago.
Record Redmi K40 series: over 1 million units already sold
As you may have already understood from the title, the brand has revealed that over 1 million units have already been sold in China, the only country in which the smartphone has been marketed, at least under the name of Redmi K40. Xiaomi also thanked all Mi Fans for their support and at the same time stated that "it will do everything possible to speed up storage and respond to millions of requests".
Recall that the Redmi K40 series was released on February 25 and includes a total of three devices: the Redmi K40, K40 Pro and K40 Pro +; with a starting price of only 1999 yuan, about 260 euros at the exchange rate.
On March 4th, Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro were first sold on all channels. According to the official report, sales of the Redmi K40 series exceeded 300.000 units in just 5 minutes.
Previously, Lu Weibing, general manager of the Redmi brand, had pointed out that this year the chips will be really difficult to find, this together with the extremely competitive price of the Redmi K40 series and therefore high sales, has meant that the smartphone has gone into out of stock.
Recall that the specifications of the K40 series include a 6,67-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and very high quality, at least according to DisplayMate.
For photos, the Redmi K40 arrives with a total of four sensors in the rear module. These include a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor with ultra wide lens and a 5MP macro lens. For selfies we find a 20MP sensor instead.
In terms of performance, the standard Redmi K40 uses the Snapdragon 870 processor, while the Redmi K40 Pro and K40 Pro + are equipped with the flagship Snapdragon 888 processor. All smartphones in the series are equipped with a 4520mAh high-capacity battery, with a 33 watt fast charge to be able to recharge it to 100% in 52 minutes, a real charge speed that even surpasses many higher power fast charges already on the market.
