Lu Weibing publishes the first message from the Redmi K50, while the display specs are leaked

Being today the eve of the Chinese New Year, the vice president of Xiaomi and general manager of Redmi, Lu Weibing, published the message: "Happy New Year everyone, now go and get ready for the press conference on the last day before the Spring Festival" , but what interests us most is the words "Redmi K50 Android" that we see above the post and which means that the message has been shared by the next flagship of the Chinese brand.

Lu Weibing publishes the first message from the Redmi K50, while the display specs are leaked

Under his post, Lu Weibing also revealed that the version with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip will come later than the one with the Snapdragon 8. According to previous reports, the first flagship of the Redmi K50 universe will be officially released in February. There are many models in this series and the e-sport version of the Redmi K50 will be released first.

In any case, also today the Chinese blogger Bald Panda revealed that this version of the Redmi K50 dedicated to gaming will use a 6,67-inch OLED screen produced by Huaxing Optoelectronics, with a very thin bottom edge and Full HD + resolution.

It is worth noting that Huaxing Optoelectronics is also the screen supplier on the Xiaomi 12. This screen has achieved DisplayMate A + certification, so we expect the e-sport version of Redmi K50 to have a very high quality panel.

As for the rest, the smartphone is expected to come with a 64MP AI triple rear camera, a 4700mAh battery capacity, and supports 120W super-second charging.

Finally, the e-sport version of the Redmi K50 will also be equipped with a dual VC liquid cooling system with Lu Weibing having previously stated that this device comes with a cooling system that “equates to two air conditioners”.
