Sales of Redmi K50 Series they are traveling on truly remarkable figures. According to the data released by Xiaomi, the numbers are simply mind-boggling: more than 330 thousand units sold in just five minutes. But let's find out all the details.
Redmi K50 Series is already a hit at home
Launched in China a few days ago, the Redmi K50 Series is having a huge response from the public. As we said, in just 300 seconds more than 300 thousand units were sold between the two devices, which broke through essentially for two reasons: the excellent technical data sheet and the very affordable selling price.
We were talking about the technical data sheet, really interesting both with reference to the Redmi K50 Pro and to the base model. But let's start from the first, which mounts the much talked about processor MediaTek Dimensity 9000, which makes the device the most powerful ever launched as regards the Xiaomi rib. This chip adopts TSMC's 4nm manufacturing process and consists of 1 Cortex-X2 super core, 3 Cortex-A710 big cores and 4 small Cortex-A510 small cores. The GPU is an ARM Mali-G710.
Paired with the processor, we have LPDDR5 RAM and high-speed flash memory UFS 3.1. Also present some exclusive optimization technologies, such as "atomic" memory and focus computing. Also worth mentioning is the excellent premium cooling system, which is truly remarkable as it uses a new generation of ultra-thin stainless steel VCs. High performance, but without overheating: this is the great quality of the Redmi K50 series.
Display chapter: Redmi K50 Pro integrates a really nice screen, that is a 2 ″ AMOLED 6,67K with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels, 526 PPI, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness that reaches 1200 nits. The display also has Displaymate A + certification, supports DC dimming technology, automatic brightness adjustment to 16 levels, ambient color temperature detection, Dolby Vision, AI HDR technology and more. There is Corning Gorilla Victus protective glass, which ensures improved anti-drop performance and improved scratch resistance
As for the photographic sector, Redmi K50 Pro is equipped with three cameras: the main one with sensor from 108 MP, an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. The first integrates OIS optical stabilization, while the front camera adopts the 596 MP Sony IMX20 sensor.
The battery of this smartphone is dthe 5000mAh, with ultra-fast charging of 120 W, which allows you to get to 100% in 19 minutes. Other specs to mention are 6 MHz Wi-Fi160 support, low interference Bluetooth Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.3, dual stereo speakers, X-axis linear motor, and NFC 3.0.
Let's now move on to the Redmi K50, which debuts the new chip MediaTek Dimensity 8100. A 5nm process chipset from TSMC consisting of 4 large Cortex A78 cores with a CPU frequency of 2,85 GHz and 4 little Cortex A55 cores. The frequency is 2,0 GHz and the score in AnTuTu surpasses that of the Snapdragon 888.
The smartphone adopts the same screen as the Pro version, but the other specifications change. The standard version adopts a rear-mounted 48MP main camera (with OIS optical image stabilization), an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro camera. The front camera is a 20 MP sensor (Sony IMX596), the same as the Redmi K50 Pro.
We also see changes in autonomy, with the Redmi K50 integrating a larger 5500mAh battery and supporting a 67W charge (full charge in 48 minutes).
