Redmi K50: the first specifications bode well for demanding users

We continue to talk about Redmi K50 after the first features started to emerge in a very shy way. Chinese whistleblowers have this time decided to reveal more than one feature of the next top of the range of Redmi, which should arrive in the European market in the form of rebrand. In fact, we don't have any devices from the K series. The existing ones are identical smartphones, but with another name: think of the K20 which is known by us as Xiaomi Mi 9T. But having said that, let's see the first specifications that have leaked.

The first unofficial (unofficial) specifications of Redmi K50 begin to emerge: top-of-the-range Samsung screen and Qualcomm 985 SoC! Bomb!

The Chinese informants we refer to are bald panda e Digital Chat Station. They are two influential figures in the tech scene and quite reliable. According to them the Redmi K50 would not be in the pipeline in China, since its release should be placed immediately after that of Xiaomi Mi 12. We are therefore talking about start 2022, by February. However, if the release is still far, close are the specifications (unofficial, unofficial) of the Redmi K50 series. Specifically we are talking about screen (panel type, resolution and refresh rate), processor e recharge. But let's go by order.

Le Redmi K50 specifications should be the ones we list below:

  • : 120Hz refresh rate, typical of a gaming phone, with a Samsung E5 panel with 2K resolution. It is not clear, however, if this time Redmi wants to integrate the fingerprint reader under the display: we'll see;
  • processor: clearly, being a top of the range, we can only find the sovereign SoC of 2022, that is Snapdragon 895. Recall that this processor could be the latest product from Samsung: Qualcomm could in fact change teams and switch to the Taiwanese "enemy" TSMC
  • recharge: unfortunately the data available to us are rather scarce but we are talking about a 67W wired charging, much better than that of the K40 series which reaches 33W
