Redmi MAX 86 ″ and Redmi AirDots 3 officially presented

At the presentation event of Redmi in which he presented the new series Redmi K40 and laptops RedmiBook Pro 14/15, the brand has also launched two new products decidedly opposed in terms of size: the giant Redmi MAX 86 ″ and the tiny Redmi AirDots 3; let's go and discover them together!

Let's start with the biggest product, the Redmi MAX 86 ″, which according to the brand is “the biggest TV ever with a package that can fit in the elevator”. In fact, in order to solve the transport and installation problems, Redmi has adopted a packaging technology developed in house that sees a special packaging design with diamond-cut corners and EPP anti-vibration materials, so as to exploit every available centimeter.

Going to the specifications, the Redmi MAX 86 ″ adopts an all metal body with a screen-to-body ratio of 97,25%. This is Redmi's first individually calibrated TV that has 4K resolution, 178 degree viewing angle, 92% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and supports professional 10-bit color depth.

The Redmi MAX 86 ″ supports MEMC motion picture compensation and 120Hz refresh rate. These two technologies can work simultaneously, along with another 90-partition dynamic backlight system. Each partition has 4096 levels of brightness changes and in-depth customization of the independent APU neural network processing unit thanks to 22 algorithms for improving image quality. There is also no shortage of dynamic remodeling HDR, Dolby Vision, HDR10 +, HDR10 and HLG.

Redmi's ultra large TV uses a high-end TV chip, the MediaTek 9652, with a 22nm manufacturing process, four Cortex A73 cores and a Mali-G52 MC1 GPU, for 1TOPS computing power. The CPU is accompanied by 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space.

For the audio we find two speakers divided into four ducts, with an output power of 2 × 12,5 W, compatible with all Dolby Atmos formats, including 5.1 and 7.1.

From an interface point of view, the TV is equipped with three HDMI ports, with the HDMI 2.1 standard with bandwidth up to 48 Gbps and supporting 4K120Hz, one AV port, two USB ports and one RJ-45 (Ethernet) port .

Other specifications include the presence of Xiao Ai 3.0, a professional office mode and MIUI TV system for TV 3.0. Furthermore, thanks to a cooperation with iQiyi, Tencent Video, Youku, Mango TV, Station B and Integrated Future TV, Wasu, BesTV, Sohu Video and Ju Sports it is possible to see their content on the TV.

The 86-inch Redmi MAX will go on sale at 0:00 on March 4 in China at a price of 7999 yuan, about 1000 euros at the exchange rate.

Let's now move on to the new Redmi AirDots 3, which as the name suggests are the third generation of the brand's cheapest headphones.

The Redmi AirDots 3 continue with the design of the Redmi AirDots 2, that is with an oval-shaped case and small headphones, in ear and without stem. But let's see an upgrade, if we can call it that, from the point of view of colors. The headphones are in fact available with cases in blue, white and pink.

As for the internal hardware, the Redmi AirDots 3 are equipped with Qualcomm 3040 chip for excellent sound quality thanks to a powerful low frequency signal and a delicate and soft medium-high frequency. The headphones support the Bluetooth 5.2 standard and have a battery life of 30 hours.

The new earphones are also equipped with DSP intelligent ambient noise reduction technology, so even in a noisy environment, the interlocutor will be able to hear us clearly.

In terms of smart functions, the Redmi AirDots 3 support smart opening and connection with MIUI, intelligent battery charge detection and touch buttons.

The Redmi AirDots 3 will be sold in China at an initial price of 199 yuan (25 euros) starting March 4.
