Xiaomi has officially announced that its next mid-range smartphone, the Redmi Note 13 Pro +, it will be there first of the Redmi Note series to have IP68 certification for dust and water resistance.

To obtain IP68 certification, Xiaomi had to make three improvements to the structure of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, as explained by the president of the Redmi brand, Lu Weibing. First, he had to redesign the structural stack, reinforcing the internal skeleton and sealing all entrances. Secondly, it had to open a new detection line to test every single device and ensure that there are no leaks. Finally, he had to add a relief valve on the top of the phone, which serves to balance internal and external pressure and prevent damage to the display.
Apart from water resistance, the Note 13 Pro+ also offers other top-notch specifications, making it one of the best smartphones in its price segment. The device is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra processor, based on the 4 nm process and with eight cores, two of which have a frequency of 2,8 GHz. The processor is accompanied by a GPU Mali-G610 and a RAM memory that can reach up to 16 GB. The operating system is Android 13, the latest version of Google's popular software.
The display of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is a 6,67-inch IPS LCD panel with Full HD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. The screen also supports HDR10+ technology and has a maximum brightness of 1800 nits. The front camera is integrated into a central hole and has a resolution of 16 megapixels.
The rear camera is instead made up of four sensors, the main of which is a Samsung HP3 Discovery Edition 200 megapixel, which promises exceptional image quality even in low light conditions. The other sensors are a wide-angle from 8 megapixel, 5 megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom it's a 2 megapixel macro.
The battery of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has one capacity of 5000 mAh and supports the 67W fast charging, which allows you to charge the phone from 0 to 100% in approximately 40 minutes. The phone also has a stereo speaker, a side fingerprint sensor, a USB-C port and a audio jack from 3,5 mm.
Furthermore, Xiaomi has published some official photos of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, which show the elegant and modern design of the device. The phone will be available in three colors: white, black and blue.
