Roidmi NEX 2 Review - The most functional of portable vacuum cleaners
Cleaning the house is often tiring but everything can become easier if we arm ourselves with tools such as the Roidmi NEX 2, a portable vacuum cleaner that also allows you to wash floors in a single pass. With him cleaning also becomes fun thanks to the many accessories that allow it to be used both in the home environment and extra, not to mention a nice function made available by the companion app. If I have at least a little intrigued you, keep reading because today I will tell you all about the new Roidmi NEX 2, in this complete review.
It seems trivial to say it but I remind everyone that Roidmi is part of the Xiaomi ecosystem, so among other things, it produces battery vacuum cleaners for the Chinese technological giant. In the past on this channel we have already seen the previous generation of the NEX series, but now the Asian brand has brought a new and improved version which is also accompanied by a Pro variant, but the subject of our review is the standard model, precisely the Roidmi NEX 2, whose sales package is particularly rich in accessories and in detail within it we find:

In short, a truly complete equipment that in the case of the NEX 2 Pro is also enriched with a special brush to remove the hair of dogs / cats while brushing the animal directly.
The construction of this wireless vacuum cleaner has not been distorted compared to the previous generation, confirming plastic elements with some high quality metal and aluminum inserts, with a noteworthy premium effect.
Each element is however a block in its own right, thus allowing it to be cleaned and maintained independently. For example, the dirt tank, with a capacity of 550 ml, can be removed from the central body, dividing the HEPA filter, from the metal filter, thus being able to rinse the individual elements with water.
On the motor body we also find the lateral ventilation grids so that the heat generated by the high suction powers does not negatively impact the battery life, the only element unfortunately that cannot be removed.
The handle of the Roidmi NEX 2 is definitely ergonomic, they form an arch that allows maneuverability during cleaning sessions that do not tire the hand, thanks to the weight of the body without accessories of only 1,66 kg, which reaches 2,7 Kg with extension tube and main brush, which is also equipped with a joint that facilitates maneuvers.
On the handle we find the power button and the one for switching the different suction powers, generating 120 thousand engine revolutions for a suction power of 26500 Pa which translates into 150 AW, while the engine itself offers a power of 435 W. Below we find a silicone cap to protect the charging input if we want to proceed with the same by directly connecting the vacuum cleaner to the charger, otherwise if we use the wall base, the charging phase takes place by means of magnetic attachments.
But since we talked about drums it is right to give some technical details as well as talk about relative performance. Specifically, Roidmi NEX 2 integrates a 2500 mAh / / 2 Wh 8-cell lithium battery supplied by LG / Samsung, which recharges rather quickly compared to the competition, in fact compared to the usual 4 hours this vacuum cleaner gets the maximum energy in about 2,5 hours.
As for autonomy, if we consider the minimum suction power, we can get about 70 minutes of performance (17.000 Pa, 65 dB), which drop to 35 at the average power (20.000 Pa, 70 dB) to drop drastically at 10 minutes if we use the maximum power (26.500 Pa, 77 dB). In any case, the classic use is the one with medium power that allows you to clean a house of at least 110/120 square meters in complete tranquility, with a charge surplus that will allow you to clean even a medium-sized sofa and chairs for example.
However, you can always keep an eye on the remaining autonomy thanks to the integration of a black and white LED display that will provide you with some error messages if necessary as well as inform you through dedicated lights, on the moment in which to change the filter or empty the dirt tank.
The cleaning efficiency is really at the highest levels: a single pass will be enough to remove hair, dust and dirt residues in general. Moreover, the main brush, called NEX-V due to the proprietary technology used in the construction, is suitable for all types of floors, even on carpets and rugs. It was made with an anti-tangle system and hydrophobic fiber, which means it does not soak up water during cleaning. In fact, during use I never found entangled hair or anything else.
Water and why on earth during the suction phase? Well, Roidmi NEX 2 through a special tool that integrates a 0,2 L water tank in which you can also insert detergents, also allows the washing of floors with a single pass, by means of a microfiber cloth that can be removed, washed and reused. In any case, you have another spare in the package, so you can safely wash the floors of the whole house without leaving streaks, even if the water tank is sufficient to cover an area of up to 35 square meters.
However, no fear for any allergic people, as the completely closed system of Roidmi NEX 2 does not let any type of harmful element escape. In fact, we find an antibacterial coating to prevent the escape of bacteria as well as a ZiWei sterilization system, a 6-level HEPA filter. The 2.0-cone Air X-8 cyclonic technology separates the dust from the air creating 8 mini tornadoes that avoid the clogging of the duct, allowing the collection of dirt in general without having to stop to remove and empty the tank even when it is not full .
Returning to the main brush, this also benefits from the integration of LED lights that allow the vision of the dirt we are vacuuming, in dark conditions, useful for example for cleaning under beds, in closets, under furniture, etc.

In fact, the various accessories supplied really allow you to launch into cleaning that are generally neglected in everyday life due to a lack of desire not only but also for inadequate tools.Everything becomes even more engaging and sometimes fun thanks to the accompanying app that provides information useful on the status of the battery, on the condition of the filter and its maintenance as well as offering a nice function that indicates the calories burned during a cleaning session. But above all through the app you will have at your disposal for the standard mode, the possibility of obtaining two further suction powers or better cleaning, being able to set the power on values of 60, 80 and 100 W, thus bringing to 5 the different powers supplied with Roidmi NEX 2.
PROJECTED IMPACT
Undoubtedly, the most renowned models proposed by Dyson offer better performance in certain areas, but overall the Roidmi NEX 2 offers a satisfying and flattering user experience as regards suction, washing and versatility of use. There is really nothing to criticize this vacuum cleaner starting from the construction, the suction power and the autonomy, not to mention a good supply of accessories and goodies such as the application and the display.
Roidmi NEX 2 can do practically everything and its “economic” nature is undeniable compared to brands like Dyson and Vorwerk, net of similar performances or in any case very close to those of rivals, so why spend more? Precisely for this reason I recommend it because with a single product you will have a wide range of uses that go well beyond the household one and then you want to add the convenience of a clean and washed floor with a single pass?
