You can learn by mistake ... and so the next Xiaomi / Redmi flasghip could be IP68 certified

You become great when you learn from your mistakes and over time Xiaomi has shown that you live up to this saying, proposing new products that over time have refined their peculiarities thanks to errors and / or gaps in previous experiences. To reinforce this come the declarations made on the Weibo social profile by Lei Jun, who says that the company has learned from the mistakes made with Redmi K30 Pro and leaving out that the next generation will be better.

It is not clear what he is referring to in particular but having enriched the post with a photo indicating Redmi K30 Pro accompanied by an IP53 writing, or the official certification against splashing water and dust. In fact, this is the only smartphone to date to have received an official certification, but apparently the user has shown that what was stated in the past by the president of Redmi, Lu Weibing, was not true, that is, that the IP68 certification was not needed on a smartphone.

You can learn by mistake ... and so the next Xiaomi / Redmi flasghip could be IP68 certified

Following this, can we expect a future Redmi K40 equipped with IP68 waterproofness? Unfortunately we do not have the official answer to this question, but Lei Jun's post would seem to direct thoughts towards this, thus allowing you to take advantage of the device without worries in the rain or near water sources, but above all not to suffer from heart if your smartphone is hit by liquids when you are at the table and spilling a glass.

The times are decidedly ripe towards the adoption of an IP68 certification on a smartphone of the brand, especially considering that the company recently wanted to challenge the giants of mobile telephony also on prices, therefore it is necessary to adapt in this sense. Well, given the thrust on the accelerator in presenting more and more new devices, it should not be lacking much to have a confirmation on an IP68 certified Xiaomi / Redmi samrtphone.

Nerd, Geek, Netizen, terms that do not belong to me. Simply myself, technology lover and provocative as Xiaomi does with his products. High quality at fair prices, a real provocation for the other most famous brands.

A certification that we buyers should pay for, when even without it they guaranteed excellent resistance even to diving from tests.
Op 8 Pro (Ip 68) and Op 8 (without) yet have the same water resistance, they have not taught or hinted at anything.

So no pop-up camera I guess… it wouldn't be IP68 otherwise.
