Although well ahead of the norm, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 11 series seems closer than previously thought.
Xiaomi Mi 11 series: it could go on sale by the end of the month
The news is, as often happens, the Chinese blogger Digital Chat Station who on the social Weibo has just shared a really interesting post for us fans of the Xiaomi brand. According to him, in fact, the Xiaomi Mi 11 will not only be the first device in the world with Snapdragon 888, but also the first with Snapdragon 888 to be purchased, benefiting from a certain period of exclusivity.
Previously, Digital Chat Station had always stressed the Xiaomi Mi 11 series would go on sale in January, after being presented in December. Today, however, it seems that the series could be launched this month and even be available for purchase right away.
It would therefore be one of the fastest launches in history, at least as regards the devices with the new top-of-the-range chip produced by Qualcomm on board. This does not surprise us so much since at the presentation of the new SoC a few days ago, Xiaomi was mentioned by the chipmaker and we also saw the founder and president of the brand, Lei Jun, giving a small speech.
Now we just have to understand if we will pay for this exclusivity at launch with slightly higher prices than the previous year and if there are real advantages to having the new chip first or if it only serves to be able to pull it off with friends and acquaintances.
Let's quickly remember that the Mi 11 series will be available in at least two versions, the basic and the Pro one. The second will adopt a screen with 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and native 10-bit color depth display.
Additionally, according to a certification just leaked online, the Mi 11 standard could support 55W fast charging, while the Pro version should be equipped with 120W wired fast charging.
