Folding smartphones from Xiaomi: new renderings have been released

Indiscretions regarding the next ones continue to spread smartphone di Xiaomi, and in particular those relating to devices folding. A few days ago we reported the patent filed by the Chinese company with the design of one clamshell folding smartphone, similar to the Galaxy Flip.

Xiaomi had filed the patent with WIPO, or the Word Intellectual Property Organization. It is a device that folds in the center similar to a clamshell smartphone. The unique feature of this device is the horizontal module on the back which houses two large camera sensors.

And a few hours ago, new renderings came out, which reveal how Xiaomi is increasingly attentive to this sector of the smartphone market. Let's find out more details.

Folding smartphones from Xiaomi: the new images

Xiaomi has no intention of being left behind when it comes to folding smartphones. To confirm this are some images published by Technizo ConceptLetsGoDigital, who have released D renderings starring the two patents for devices with folding displays, which have sprung up in recent days.

As confirmed by the renderings released in recent days, these are two devices that fold like a common flip phone, but there are some differences between the two. Primarily the rear camera module.

In fact, a first device is equipped with a horizontal photographic set-up with two cameras, flash and small display. The second device instead has a circular module with three cameras, but does not have a mini screen.

That said, of all these patents and patent renderings we still don't know which folding smartphone Xiaomi will launch on the market over the next few months. Above all, we have no certainty about the fact that it really comes out. Will the Chinese house really launch a smartphone of this type? We'll see. If that happens, it will attack the premium mid-range with it.
