Yesterday we learned a lot about the Mi Note 2, coming very soon. First, the launch date was confirmed, set for October 25th. Later it became known that the smartphone will sell for 5699 yuan (approximately 770 euros). Finally, the confirmation of the rumors regarding the design arrived: Mi Note 2 is equipped with a curved edge display. Even Xiaomi, which has long been defined as the "Chinese Apple", is therefore added to the list of manufacturers who have developed devices with this particular look. This choice, however, led the company to have to raise the price of the device considerably. Many have turned up their noses, but the price still seems justifiable, considering the excellent technical specifications of the device.
You will have to wait only a week to be able to pre-order the smartphone and the news was certainly pleasant for all those who were waiting for a new model from the Chinese manufacturer, following the "failure" of the Mi 5s. However, we are forgetting a detail that is far from irrelevant: Mi Note 2 will come in several variants (probably different RAM depending on the model, as often happens) and the high price would be attributed to the more powerful version.
The possibility that the underperforming version of the Mi Note 2 will sell for 4999 yuan (poco less than 675 euros) is far from obsolete. Most of the Chinese top of the range are in fact sold at that price at the time of release and it is reasonable to expect that Xiaomi will remain on the same level, in order to be competitive and not disappoint all the fans who did not expect such a high price, which however, they will have to settle for the "cheap" version of the latest arrival.
