Top 5 second-quarter smartphone manufacturers, falling Samsung

The statistics of the note agency arrive IDC, which showed the ranking of the 5 2014 second-quarter 23.1 world-class smartphone manufacturers. Smartphone data are positive, with XNUMX% growth over the same quarter last year.

At the top of the stand we find it again Samsung, that loses however, several percentage points. The company registers the 25.2% market share, against 32.3 & in the same quarter in 2013.

IDC statistics

Second place is the Apple down compared to last year, despite an increase in smartphones sold. The third producer in the world is instead Huawei, the Chinese colossus that registers one growth of the 95.1% compared to last year, really impressive.

In fourth place follows Lenovo, reinforced by the acquisition of Motorola, which achieves growth of 38.7%. Lenovo is also the world's first PC manufacturer, so the excellent result in the smartphone field is undoubtedly destined to grow. The fifth and last producer of this ranking is instead LG, which despite having grown by almost 20 percentage points, has been rocked by Chinese Huawei and Lenovo.

An even more interesting fact is that producers marked as "Others"(Others) represent the 45.8% of market share, so a slice of market close to half. Among these are big names like Xiaomi, ZTE / Nubia, HTC, Oppo, Alcatel, Sony, Nokia / Microsoft, Coolpad, Asus, Acer and many more.

The ranking is very interesting, and shows the enormous growth of Huawei. Yet all 5 producers currently present must necessarily fear "the others" (yes, as in Lost)  who struggle to get a place in this top 5.

Who do you think will be the next producer to enter the standings? And who will instead give up their place?
