Tranya NOVA – They keep up with the AIRPODS but with an edge and a price that SOUNDS GOD!!!
There is no longer that time when to benefit from crazy audio quality for both music and calls, you had to sell a kidney. In fact, today's TWS headphones market offers "cheap" solutions compared to more famous brands, but without giving up high-fidelity sound performance. Among the decidedly valid TWS headset models we find the Tranya NOVA, ideal reeds for sports and for all situations in which we perform hands-free activities. Powerful drivers, chipset with aptX-HD codec for crystal clear and crisp audio, but also low latency for gaming and a total battery life of up to 35 hours. I won't spoil anything else and I'll tell you everything in this review, but you will have already understood that I was pleasantly surprised.

Apparently anonymous sales package, where we only find the brand logo on the front and the product name on the back and this is due to the fact that the brand has decided to focus on the concreteness of the product and not create a "bait and switch" as they do many other brands. Minimalist but seductive design starting from the sales box, made of completely recyclable material, and this is a great advantage for the environment. Inside we find multi-language manuals (unfortunately absent the Italian language), a pair of silicone rubber pads to better adapt the headphones to our ear canal and a small USB Type-C charging cable as well as of course the Tranya NOVA.
DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
Tranya Nova earphones are stylish and comfortable to wear. Available in the glossy midnight blue color, which unfortunately is a magnet for fingerprints and the fact that a protective cover does not yet exist, makes you forced to be careful in transport, risking getting scratched with keys or other. Apart from that, the construction is impeccable starting from the hinge of the lid, decidedly robust, as is the lid itself equipped with a good magnet and hall sensor, which allows an immediate connection with the associated device without even pulling the earphones.
On the front we have a multicolor LED (green / yellow / red light) to identify the state of charge of the case, which can also be interrogated by the button located on the back, which if pressed for 8 seconds will allow you to reset the headphones. Once the lid is lifted we find ourselves in front of the earphones, housed in their seat by means of magnets, small but powerful, with an in-ear design, in fact in the package you will find a spare of rubber pads of different sizes to obtain a perfect fit with the ear , such that they can also be used in sporting activities also counting on the IPX5 certification.
At the bottom of the case we find the Type-C input for charging via cable, but it is also possible to benefit from wireless charging, an aspect that we will address later in the review. Returning instead to the earphones, these are pronounced outwards by means of stems, while the surface that surrounds the drivers is of the touch type, with an immediacy of touch recognition and imparted command. Finally, each individual headset integrates as many as 3 microphones, for better capture of our voice and clarity of audio on call.
AUTONOMY
As already announced, the Tranya NOVAs have a double charging mode, one via cable and the other wireless. The case battery has a capacity of 400 mAh while the individual earphones integrate a 45 mAh unit with miraculous autonomy performance. We are talking about 9 hours of listening mixed with calls with a single recharge, benefiting from a further 3 recharges through the case, which brings the total autonomy to about 36 hours. Finally there is a quick charge function: via cable with just 10 minutes we will get 2 hours of use, same autonomy via wireless but with 30 minutes.
HARDWARE, FUNCTIONS AND AUDIO QUALITY
In terms of microphones, the Tranya NOVAs offer a total of 6, 3 for each earphone, also integrating the CVC 8.0 ENC technology, i.e. in conversation our voice will be cleaned of all the annoying noises of the outside with a professional, clean, clear and crystalline in every situation.
Thanks to the excellent audio result is the Qualcomm QCC5.3 Bluetooth 3072 chipset with support for the aptX-HD codec, but to further improve the sound quality is the integration of SonicMax technology, a special proprietary algorithm of the brand that equalizes the entire sound spectrum, returning warm and full-bodied bass but without the "UNZ UNZ" effect and medium / high tones that are not at all falling and too fired, adapting the best musical listening to every genre but also for watching TV series or films, where the voice is quite distinct from effects, music or other.
The maximum volume was also high but without distortion, thanks to the 12mm dynamic drivers. But that's not all, because the special game mode allows you to reduce the latency to just 47ms, thus being able to benefit from these Tranya NOVAs also in the gaming field.
Among the functions available we also have the ANC and transparency mode, the first dedicated to reducing ambient noise, ideal for those who often use earphones when travelling, for example on public transport, effectively eliminating annoying noise (up to -43 dB) such as a baby crying or the chatter of rowdy groups. The function can be called up both from the app and directly from the earphones via touch control and of course for a better performance it is advisable to find the right rubber for your ear, as the more adherent the better.
On the contrary, the transparency mode will emphasize ambient noise, therefore ideal for sportsmen who like to do outdoor activities without renouncing to be vigilant about what is happening around us. The IPX5 certification then makes them ideal even for use in the rain and in any case resistant to sweat. I must admit that this mode has also come in handy during car journeys, thus remaining attentive to traffic noise but without giving up excellent music.
I also point out that the Tranya NOVAs enjoy multipoint connectivity, i.e. we could associate the headphones with two devices at the same time, thus managing the music on one device and the calls on the other.
APPLICATION AND TOUCH CONTROLS
The elongated shape of Tranya's audio proposal allows greater comfort when we use the touch controls, as we do not risk putting too much pressure on the surface and therefore not pressing with the headphones inside the ear canal. The commands that we can issue are ultra complete, i.e. for calls we have the possibility to answer, hang up or reject while for music we have the track skip, play / pause, volume control and finally recall of the virtual assistant smartphone, enable/disable game mode and transparency/ANC mode.
But the real revolution comes from the Tranya Audio companion app, where we can update the firmware of the earphones, benefit from some equalization presets or create our own, but above all we can decide for each earphone each command to be associated with single/double/triple/quadruple /quintuple tap or long press.
PRICE AND CONCLUSIONS
After all this good talk, you'll be tempted to think that these Tranya NOVAs are extremely expensive. Not only do they look good, but the sound quality is amazing and the hybrid ANC is phenomenal, not to mention the long battery life with both wired and wireless charging, flawless construction and multipoint connectivity. In short, the list of points in favor is practically infinite, but let's get to the price, equal to 79 dollars with purchase on the official website of the brand which also accepts Paypal payment, but by subscribing to their newsletter you will have a discount code of 10 dollars, thus bringing the price at 69 dollars (corresponding to approximately 62 euros at current exchange rates). Excellent quality/price ratio that would have led me to define them as absolute best buys if we had been able to obtain a protective case, even by paying. I loved them and I really recommend them.
