It is not only the large brands in the market that use this form factor, but also more or less emerging brands. Recently we have witnessed the release of models by Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus, both with bezelless design, becoming at the moment the cheapest on the market.
But if the Redmi series has always represented a Xiaomi icon in the entry level / medium range segment, the Note series instead represented that added value in terms of performance and design. And contrary to what was said previously, namely that the company has decided to abandon for the future the definition Notes for its smartphones, a rumors of the last hours reveals the opposite.
Apparently the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is existing and is currently under internal testing, but already at the beginning of the second quarter of the 2018 could see the light on the shelves of the virtual store of the Chinese technology giant. The reason for the delay seems to be due to the fact that Xiaomi is waiting for Qualcomm to release a new processor, the 632 Snapdragon, which will be used for the first time by Xiaomi.
The Snapdragon 632 is in a sense the weakened version of the 636 Snapdragon, with clock frequency at 1,8 GHz as well as the GPU will jump back, while optimization and support for the photographic sector will be improved.
On the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 we should therefore expect a display from 5,99 inches with 18 ratio: 9 type bezelless, 4 GB of RAM and a dual rear camera with 12 megapixel sensor. This reignites the hopes for those who were waiting for the device in question, even if it will have to deal with a probable increase in the list price expected around the 1599 yuan, about 205 euro.
