Support for updates for Redmi Note 7 and other Xiaomi ends

It begins the last week of January with some bad news for many users who have relied on devices like Redmi Note 7, Note 7 Pro and Xiaomi CC9e aka Xiaomi Mi A3. In fact, the official press release has arrived from the ROM development team, which announces the end of support for new updates ..

And if for Xiaomi Mi A3 someone could breathe a sigh of relief, considering the odyssey that the terminal has experienced with all the major Android updates, all the others who have placed their trust in the first examples of smartphones that marked the birth of Redmi as independent brand, they will find themselves a bitter morsel to digest.

But be careful, because the stop to updates currently only concerns the possibility of receiving new betas and future programs for developers, but it is clear that this, in a certain sense, also defines the stop to future improvement updates, thus leaving space only a fix or eligible releases of a new interface, although it appears clear that the devices mentioned will never receive MIUI 13 so much so that they are not even included in the list for the release of MIUI 12.5.

REDMI NOTE 7

Starting April 24, 2021, Redmi Note 7 , Notes redmi 7 Pro , Xiaomi CC9e they will stop the internal beta test of the development version, thanks for your understanding.

A few cold lines, the ones you read above, from the Xiaomi development team. In short, if you are users with Redmi Note 7, Note 7 Pro, Xiaomi CC9e aka Mi A3, perhaps it is the case that you begin to study an alternative solution, such as the one offered by modding, or that you are thinking about buying a new smartphone.

What do you think of it? You are disappointed or in a certain sense justify the company even if it must be admitted that until a few years ago, the good name of the brand was due precisely to the fact of not abandoning devices defined as "obsolete" by equipping them with all the latest software innovations.

Nerd, Geek, Netizen, terms that do not belong to me. Simply myself, technology lover and provocative as Xiaomi does with his products. High quality at fair prices, a real provocation for the other most famous brands.

Try the Lineage! Since I put it, the Redmi is much better (+ reactivity and - consumption) than MIUI! I had done it before !!!

What is the impact on security updates?

It is clear that, for those like me who have bought the smartphone for less than two years, there is an obvious problem of conformity of the product with respect to the purposes for which it was purchased. Does Xiaomi really want to face civil damages cases, in addition to the requests that will certainly be presented to the market regulatory authorities and for consumer protection?

They must guarantee 2 years of safety updates from the withdrawal from the market of the device, otherwise they circumvent the legislation on the legal guarantee of the manufacturer in favor of the consumer.

How sad are your offenses ...

In any case, goodbye to Xiaomi, evidently more interested in making cash, depriving its consumers of the most adequate guarantees, rather than protecting their expectations and good faith.
