In recent years, the world's leading smartphone makers have finally been able to launch their first foldable devices. Among these, we especially remember brands such as Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi which launched the new Mi MIX FOLD a few weeks ago.
Vivo patents a new foldable with an innovative design
Well, apparently a new brand will join the three just mentioned, as you may have guessed from the title it is the Chinese manufacturer Vivo.
In fact, Vivo recently filed a patent for “folding electronic equipment”. The concept of the patent shows that the foldable electronic equipment includes a body and a screen mounted thereon. One side of this body has an area with no screen.
So it looks like one end of the screen is connected on the body, while the other end of the screen is connected sliding; when the folding device is in the folded state, a part of the body remains exposed, in the open state, the body is completely covered by the display.
In general, this design is more similar to Huawei's foldable Mate X than Samsung's foldable Galaxy Fold and Xiaomi's foldable My MIX Fold, as the display remains visible even when closed.
