After launching the Vivo Watch in 2020, the Chinese brand now looks close to launching its successor.
Vivo Watch 2 coming soon: the smartwatch will have support for eSIM
Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station has revealed that Vivo's next smartwatch is expected to arrive under the name of Vivo Watch 2 and will have support for eSIM technology. So it will allow users to make and receive calls, as well as send and receive messages on the smartwatch without being needing a smartphone nearby.
Digital Chat Station also said that in addition to having an eSIM, the smartwatch will have support for multiple apps, likely in a similar fashion to the Xiaomi Watch Color 2 recently announced. He also said that Vivo's smartwatch will have a round dial, but at the moment it is not yet known whether it will be available in more sizes like last year's model.
In fact, remember that the Vivo Watch is available in 42 mm and 46 mm sizes with a 1,19-inch and 1,39-inch AMOLED display respectively. The smartwatch can monitor up to 11 sports modes, supports heart rate and blood oxygen level measurement, and has a built-in assistant, NFC, GPS, built-in memory, and a waterproof rating. The 42mm version has a 9-day battery life, while the 46mm version pushed the battery life up to 18 days.
