The wait is almost over for tech enthusiasts and smartphone lovers: leaked details indicate that the launch of the new models vivo X Fold3 and X Fold3 Pro it is imminent. According to the latest rumors coming from Weibo, the technology giant live is preparing to unveil its latest foldable devices by the end of March, with a launch window expected between the 26th and 28th of the month.
vivo X Fold3 and X Fold3 Pro: specifications and launch date leaked
This early launch, compared to the predecessor X Fold2 presented on April 20 last year, suggests an acceleration in development and production that could mark a turning point in the foldable smartphone market. The vivo, in particular, is drawing attention for its potential inclusion of the all-new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which would make it the first foldable device to feature such a processor. On the contrary, the model standard X Fold3 should be equipped with the previous Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, although there are rumors of a possible Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 for the Pro version and a Dimensity 9300 for the basic version.
Vivo's strategy of using different chipsets for the Chinese and international versions of its phones is nothing new, and this could explain the different leaked hardware configurations. However, what is certain is that both models promise to offer exceptional performance and cutting-edge features.
As for photography specs, the vivo X Fold3 should boast one triple 50MP camera, with main, ultra-wide angle and sensors telephoto 2x. Pro model, instead, will raise the level with a third 64MP periscopic module, although the focal length still remains a mystery.
Not only impressive cameras, but charging will also be super fast: the Pro model should support 120W wired and 50W wireless charging, in line with the predecessor X Fold2. Additionally, the Pro is expected to be vivo's first dust- and water-resistant foldable, a significant addition that could appeal to a wider audience.
