Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G NE and Civi 2 found within the Beta: will they have Snapdragon 7 Gen1 chips?
In fact, according to the latest from China, two new smartphones have leaked in the Android 13 Beta that Xiaomi released online this morning. The code name of the device should be “ziyi” and has the model number “2209129SC (L9S)”. There is also a second smartphone with the code name "caiwei" and model number "2210129SG (L9D)".
The two models found in the Beta should correspond respectively to the Xiaomi Civi 2 and the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G NE. As we know, the second will be the version for the international market.
But it does not end here because some of the main parameters of the Xiaomi Civi 2/12 Lite 5G NE have also been leaked within the code, including a 6,55-inch AMOLED display at 120Hz, three cameras and the Snapdragon 7 Gen1 processor.
It is reported that the Snapdragon 7 Gen1 adopts Samsung's 4nm manufacturing process and consists of 4 large cores and 4 small cores. The big core is an ARM Cortex A710 with a frequency of 2361 MHz, the little core is an ARM Cortex A510 with a frequency of 1804 MHz and the GPU is an Adreno 662 with a frequency of 1804 MHz.
Compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen1, the Snapdragon 7 Gen1 does not have the ultra-large Cortex X2 core and the main frequency of the big core is also reduced. This is a low-power chip positioned in the mid-range. In terms of benchmarking, the Snapdragon 7 Gen1's single-core score is 712 and the multi-core score is 2385 on Geekbench, which isn't much different from the current Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G score.
