Battery and display of Xiaomi 12 Pro unfortunately do not satisfy the most demanding

According to DisplayMate Xiaomi 12 Pro has the best screen in the world, or rather, among the best. Still, the experts of DxOMark they said the opposite. The front panel of the latest top of the range failed to satisfy the most demanding public but it didn't end there. In fact, the same laboratory has tested also the autonomy , battery of the device. Unfortunately, even in this case the tests have decreed that the smartphone is not among the best. But having said that, let's see why these results.

Xiaomi 12 Pro can't make it according to experts. The battery, autonomy and display quality do not reach the highest DxOMark standards

Let's start with the display. Xiaomi 12 Pro is equipped with a 6,73 ″ AMOLED screen with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels (522 ppi), 10-bit color depth, adaptive refresh rate in the range from 1 to 120 Hz and an aspect ratio of 20: 9. Experts attributed the panel's benefits toaccurate color reproduction under artificial lighting conditions, the high accuracy of the sensor response and the good outdoor auto brightness performance.

There were also some wait negative, of course. The most obvious of these is the lack of brightness especially when playing HDR content: dark areas along the edges of the display were also observed. Also, in the room, the automatic backlight control seemed "snappy". Another drawback was the decrease in refresh rate while watching a video.

The end result of Xiaomi 12 Pro was of 85 points on the DxOMark scale. The smartphone is only in 38th place in the ranking, slightly ahead of the Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max. In the list of models in the higher price range, the smartphone has taken the 25 ° position, losing a point in favor of the Sony Xperia 1 III.

Turning to autonomy and battery we remember that Xiaomi 12 Pro has a battery capacity of 4600 mAh and 120W ultra fast charging among the most powerful currently on the market. Despite this, the device showed a frankly weak result. The Xiaomi flagship has autonomy problems in almost all modes. However, in the gaming mode, the smartphone proved to be a tad bit better than the competition. The same cannot be said though when playing videos or music.

Xiaomi 12 Pro has only 46 points in the overall standings, and this leads it to be the 68th in the standings. Above him was placed the Samsung Galaxy S22 with Exynos 2200 processor. In general, the smartphone received 103 points for its incredible charging, but it was autonomy to disappoint him. Xiaomi 12 Pro is far from the only current flagship with a battery capacity of around 4500 mAh, but in this case the result is poor, although it is probably due to a software not optimized. However, for autonomy, the smartphone received only 31 points, having worked only 1 day and 10 hours.
