Xiaomi 12 Ultra: leakster confirms the design of the rear camera module
Today the well-known Chinese blogger Digital Chat Station gave the news that the new Xiaomi 12 Ultra (codenamed l1) will have a 512GB version. Furthermore, according to Chinese media, in addition to the 512 GB of internal memory, the smartphone nicknamed "Super Cup" will focus everything on photography.
Specifically, it was reported that Xiaomi will join Leica this year to build a custom imaging system together. So the next Xiaomi 12 Ultra could be the first smartphone of the Chinese brand created together with the well-known German company in the optical industry Leica. Recall that this German company has already collaborated with another Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Huawei, since 2016. At the moment, however, it is not yet clear whether this new collaboration with Xiaomi marks the end of that between Huawei and Leica.
In any case, with the support of Leica and the excellent power of the sensors used by Xiaomi, it is very foreseeable that the next flagship of the Chinese giant will dominate the ranking of DxOMark, the well-known photographic benchmarking site.
As for the design of the device, the front could be similar to that of the Xiaomi 12 Pro launched a few weeks ago, while on the back we expect a totally different design.
According to the same leakster, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will adopt a raised circular camera module, while inside we will find several circular and rectangular holes for the various cameras and sensors.
