DxOMark specialists have tested the audio system (input and output) of Xiaomi 12T Pro, evaluating the quality of sound recording and playback. The smartphone managed to score the highest score in one of the important disciplines, but in the overall standings it turned out to be far from perfect - it could not even get into the top 30 of the established laboratory ranking. It hasn't even surpassed its predecessor.

Xiaomi 12T Pro is equipped with three speakers (one each at the top and one on the side and conversational). In addition, the smartphone supports Dolby Atmos surround sound technology, although it does not have the classic 3,5mm audio jack. The playback test revealed both the strengths and weaknesses of the smartphone's sound system. Between sides positive, specialists noted decent dynamics and excellent control of sound artifacts. The list of defects includes inconsistent tonal balance, weak bass, muffled highs, and inaccurate sonic spacing between instruments and vocals.
When recording audio, the strengths of the Xiaomi 12T Pro turned out to be a pleasant natural tonal balance, good dynamic characteristics and a large soundstage. Of the shortcomings, one is noted lack of bass and slightly “raised” high frequencies. Experts have also noted that the device is not suitable for recording at high volume levels: in essence, it crackles.
According to the test results, Xiaomi 12T Pro managed to reach i 127 points and take 41st place in the overall standings, losing to Xiaomi 11T Pro, which is in 38th place. In the premium price category, the device became the twelfth. However, it must be remembered that this device is not devoted exclusively to the audio sector, but rather to that photographic and that autonomy.
