Xiaomi 13 Ultra: display like Apple, but something is missing

Xiaomi 13Ultra it is the latest top-of-the-range smartphone from the Chinese company to debut. Although the device has not officially arrived in the Global version, it is possible to buy it through foreign e-commerce. But having said that, how does it behave in terms of performance and specifically those of the display. As always DxOMark issued its benchmark, i.e. the screen test of the device. Let's see more together.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra is level with iPhone 13 Mini in the DxOMark display test. However, something is missing to reach the top

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra performed well in the DxOMark screen test. Overall, the device scored 130 points overall, staying away from the first place, in the 45th position in the standings in the article. That is, it tied with models like Pixel 6 Pro, Galaxy S21 FE with Snapdragon processor, iPhone 13 Mini and realme GT 2 Pro.

Overall, the experts have praised the readability of the device, which also performed well in color rendering in most of the scenarios tested. When tested in outdoor situations, the model continued to perform well and did not disappoint in readings. During the evaluation, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra's panel showed flicker-free content, as well as show smooth lighting transitions. In this way, DxOMark defined the Chinese manufacturer's smartphone as comfortable to use in different light conditions.

The negative points, in turn, highlight that the video performance of the device was not satisfactory both in terms of brightness and contrast. Also, the display showed a more blue-green tint when viewed from certain angles. According to the DxOMark results, gamers might be a bit disappointed with the device as it suffers from a frame mismatch when testing in games.

While it's not a bad device in terms of screen, there are important points that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra lacks, such as the transition to green tones at certain times viewing angles. Still, it's a great readable model, with a 6,73-inch OLED panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate.

For me, from android jelly beam, apple has become obsolete even at the software level…
