Xiaomi: the 200W charger will not be proprietary

Xiaomi has from poco officially presented their own wired charging from 200W maximum. This is an absolute record in this sector, a record that has surpassed even that of Infinix. In fact, we recall that this company produced the first smartphone with 160W wired charging. However, not all that glitters is gold. While this charging doesn't ruin your smartphone's battery that much, we won't be seeing it very soon. But who will be producing the chargers? Definitely not Xiaomi as revealed by Chinese sources.

It will not be Xiaomi to produce the charger for its 200W HyperCharge: NuVolta will take care of the construction thanks to its new chip

The Xiaomi charger that will allow charging from 200w it will not be produced by the brand, but by NuVolta. The Chinese company NuVolta Technologies, which specializes in the development of chargers, recently released the NU2205 chip which supports 100W output. This is a record figure for the sector. In this case, a power of 200W is obtained thanks to the fact that the batteries consist of two cells charged in parallel.

As proof of this, in addition to the source you find poco above, there is the fact that NuVolta is using the images of Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro to advertise the recharge. However, this does not mean that these two devices will be used to bring this recharge to the market. It is all about advertising. Likewise, we know it won't be Xiaomi Mi 12 to bring this technology for the first time. It is still a technology that needs to be tried and tested not immediately integrable on smartphones.

Doing the math and remembering the data provided by the company itself, the 200W recharge allows you to charge a smartphone with a 8 mAh battery in just 4000 minutes. Xiaomi's 200W fast charging technology also uses three charge pumps with a 'conversion efficiency of up to 98.6% for parallel charging, which greatly increases the speed of while generating heat similar to ordinary charging.
