The exponential growth that Xiaomi has had so far in the smartphone market seems to have shifted even in the werable sector. In fact, according to a recent market research conducted by IDC, Xiaomi would be the third global manufacturer of wearable devices and the first one considering annual growth.

Dribbling a bit of numbers, Xiaomi is currently the 17,4% of the worldwide market share with approximately 3,7 millions of wearable sold (ie Xiaomi Mi Band). 2015 wearable sales

Looking at the competition, in the first place we find Fitbit with about 4,7 million units sold, a market share of 22,2% and an annual growth of 101,7%. Second place is Apple with 3,9 millions of smartwatches sold and a market share of 18,6%. The sales gains are not expressed, but we're sure that in that ranking Apple would have dominated everyone.

In total, around 21 million wearable devices were sold in the 2015 with an increase of 197,6% compared to last year. Being a still young market, we are certain that growth will not stop for a few more years.

For its part Xiaomi has recently presented the new Xiaomi Mi Band 1s | Presented Xiaomi Mi Band 1S with Heart Rate Sensor | and the presentation of a smartwatch is also foreseen, so continuity in this sense is assured.
