Xiaomi has renewed its Mi Power Strip, bringing it to 20W

In 2015 Xiaomi presented its multi-socket power strip, a product appreciated by many users but which has become obsolete over the years. And it is for this reason that the Chinese house has renewed the device: the multi-socket power strip Xiaomi Mi Power Strip it now has an output a 20w, and is sold at a very attractive price. Here are all the details on the technical characteristics, price and availability of the device in question.

Xiaomi Mi Power Strip: all the news

In truth this new grip is not all that different from the previous model. In fact, it maintains the 3 universal sockets, as well as the USB outputs. However, there have been some additions, which make the new version certainly more attractive for our days (six years is a long time). Unlike the 2015 slipper, this one offers greater space between the 3 sockets mentioned (41 mm), so that the transformers have more space. In addition, one has also been integrated Type-C port, which was not there in the first version.

In summary, there is no longer a USB Type-A port, which makes room for a faster port that matches the others by going out at 20W. In this way it will be able to recharge the devices used up to this power. As for the maximum capacity distributed among the various sockets, it is 2500w. There is also a switch and several safety mechanisms, so as to avoid short-circuits, overvoltages and current overloads.

We arrive at the price and availability chapter: Xiaomi Mi Power Strip in its renewed version will be launched in China from the next 21 July, at the price of approx 8 € at current exchange rates. A really attractive price for a device that really deserves it. At the moment no marketing is planned outside the national borders, but it is plausible that the multi-socket power strip will also arrive here in Europe very soon. Just like in the case of its first version, always available on AliExpress.
