Xiaomi investigated by antitrust ... for his use of superlatives

Curious case what has come out in the past few hours and which concerns the Chinese giant Xiaomi. In fact, it appears that it has made unfair advertising policies against a new law that came into force in China about a month ago. In fact, it prohibits advertising any commercial product (including smartphones), using adjectives and superlatives that place it above the competition. For example, the phrases: "the best in the market" or "best in this sector" etc. This law was enacted for protect people from the potential exaggerations that manufacturers make and that could mislead it.

We don't know how Xiaomi will address this investigation. But most likely, to try not to do more damage to its image in China, it will change its entire marketing line. Oh yes, because the new law applies not only to advertising on TV or on posters but also to the web. Considering that Xiaomi makes the web its main propaganda weapon, the changes it will have to make will be several.

We would like to underline that what was said previously about the fact that Xiaomi will change its marketing policies is a our thoughts, as the producer has not yet expressed himself on the matter. Unfortunately we do not even know what the consequences would be if Xiaomi would continue to use these statements in the future.
