Xiaomi India integrates Google Tez payments

On Wednesday, Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi introduced a new payment service, on its Mi.com and Mi Store e-commerce platform, based on Google Tez. In particular, the application of Big G is based on Qr code and ultrasound that are sent from the speakers of a device and received from the microphone of the other.

Users can now make cashless transactions on both Mi.com and the Mi Store app as the Google Tez payments service operates on the Unified Payments Interface (UPI).

"As a business partner for Tez for the business program, all Xiaomi customers can now pay transparently and securely with any bank account stored in their Tez account on their phone"Said Sujith Narayanan, Head of Partnerships and Business Development, Tez.

Users can pay directly from their online bank accounts for any purchases made, further consolidating Xiaomi's commitment to contribute to the "Digital India" initiative.
