Lei Jun, who a few days ago attended the Chu Business Conference in Beijing, gave a speech in which she talked about the history of Xiaomi. The vice president began by recalling that the brand is only nine years old and that in the past year the company has invested 5,8 billion Yuan (700 million euros) in R&D (research and development), while as regards the 'current year (2019) Xiaomi will have invested over 7 billion Yuan (€ 90 million).

And in the future? Well also next year the Chinese giant will invest heavily by spending over 10 billion Yuan (€ 128 million). Lei Jun then specified that investing in research and development means investing in one's own future, bringing innovation and helping the brand to grow.

Returning to the main news dear to us. The founder of Xiaomi has made it known that the revenues from the businesses conducted outside of China count for 48% of the revenues in the third quarter of 2019 and that soon these will be over 50%. Once this magical figure is exceeded, Xiaomi can be considered an international company. Furthermore, seeing firsthand how the brand is becoming increasingly known in Italy and Europe, Xiaomi is destined to grow more and more in the following years.

It flies, i Chinese media they pointed out how this success came mainly thanks to Lei Jun. The founder of Xiaomi has in fact managed to make the brand one of the largest in the world in no time. Unfortunately we do not know what Lei Jun's secret is, except that her raison d'être is "All that can be ignored, must be ignored". Or at least that's the message in the background of Lei Jun's smartphone that some Chinese bloggers have managed to photograph (image above).
