Last week it was officially presented Xiaomi Mi 6X, a smartphone very interesting for its technical specifications but even more for what it could represent for the global market: there is no evidence, but as a success for the Mi 5X Mi A1 for the international market, even the 6X Mi could be re-branded and then assume the name of Mi A2, thus configuring itself as the second smartphone of the Chinese company to belong to the program Android One.
As mentioned earlier, we have no evidence of how things will actually go, but we have about the existence of two Xiaomi devices belonging to the Android One program of Google mom. These evidences come out a few days away from statements by Lei Jun, who during an interview with some Indian media, had declared that his company had more than one smartphone to launch equipped with an Android stock system made directly from the Mountain View house. Among these will also include smartphones belonging to the Redmi range and what was leaked today does nothing but confirm the words of the CEO of Xiaomi. But let's start from the beginning and proceed with order.
Xiaomi Jasmine_Sprout and Daisy_Sprout: the possible Mi AXUMUM and Redmi with Android One
Mishaal Rahman, now known in the news for having revealed with the lake in advance the specifications of Xiaomi Mi 6X and its investigations about the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4, came in possession of two new firmware belonging to Xiaomi devices.
These have the code name Jasmine_Sprout e Daisy_Sprout, circumstance, given the name Tissot_Sprout of the A1 Mi, which immediately leads to think that these belong to the Android One program. This hypothesis seems to be supported by other elements such as:
- the absence of MIUI applications
- Framework, SystemUI and other fully stock system applications
- references to the Android One program in the firmware codes
- presence of the A / B partition for seemless updates.
For the Xiaomi Jasmine_Sprout it was possible to ascertain how this mounts one Snapdragon 660 and how some shared EXIF models refer to the same photographic section on Xiaomi Mi 6X. This could be the first proof of Xiaomi's desire to re-brand his latest device in the long-awaited Mi A2.
As regards the Xiaomi Daisy_Sprouton the other hand, we only know that it is equipped with the Qualcomm chip Snapdragon 625, a solution that Xiaomi has abused and is still adopting for its Redmi range devices. This obviously leads one to think that it is the latter that belongs to the Xiaomi Daisy.
